This page documents the story of Isabella Rush, the third child of Richard Rush and Cecilia.
Isabella was born on 1 August 1845 in the Hutt Valley [page 172 Hutt Valley Timeline - Voices of the People.] Sadly she died on 10 August 1846, aged just one year, apparently from teething problems, a common ailment at that time. [page 186 Hutt Valley Timeline - Voices of the People].
Isabella was buried in Bolton Street cemetery in Wellington, though it is not known where her grave is. We suspect it is with or near her father Richard Rush.
A Wellington newspaper reported the death: RUSH, Mrs. dau 1 yr teething.
